OUR MINISTRIES

The Walk In The Word Family Church is a growing church with a loving and welcoming atmosphere. We want our members and visitors to feel welcomed and become involved. We welcome all persons regardless of previous background, nationality, and denomination to be a part of the worship services. Here are ways for members to serve God with their gifts.

Teen and Young Adult Ministry
Our church provides interactive Christian instruction and mentoring designed especially to address the desires, needs, and interest of children, teens and young adults. This ministry provides worship service, activities, drama, dance, and plays. Other activities include Bible studies, field trips to spiritual conferences, revivals, outreaches, and sport events. Praise Team/Choir
The praise team or choir is an ideal place to use your gift to usher in the presence of God. This ministry is extremely important to the worship experience. Rehearsals are held each Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Usher Ministry
This Ministry of Helps preforms special tasks to serve God's people. It involves assisting in seating people, collecting offerings, assisting at the altar, and maintaining an orderly atmosphere in the church. They are charged with the responsibility of making our visitors feel welcome and comfortable.

The Hospitality Ministry
This ministry is responsible for coordinating all church fellowships and special events such as; weddings, anniversaries, dinners, showers, etc. Contact the Director of Helps ministry for information.

Greeters
Greeters are the first warm, loving, and smiling faces seen at the entrance of the church. They welcome the saints and assist with seating, directions to the nursery and passing out special bulletins. This ministry is charged with the awesome responsibility of making our members and visitors feel loved and welcomed.

Prayer Line/Phone Ministry
This ministry team stands in agreement with others in faith to believe God for answers to prayers. This ministry is vital to the strength of the body, the saints, and the lost in the community.

The Disciples for Christ Ministry
This ministry takes an active part in helping to provide communication and fellowship between members. This system (cell group) of members caring for and sharing with one another creates a communication network that promotes a bond of unity and strength.

Pastoral Ministry
An anointed team of leaders called, qualified, and trained to assist the Pastors at the pulpit, providing the ordinances (Baptism and the Lord's Supper), church etiquettes, and other desires and needs of the Pastors, and visiting clergy.

Deacon/Deaconess Ministry
A team of leaders, full of the Holy Spirit, of good report, holding up the Pastors arms, serving in the two ordinances, and caring for the welfare of the church and its members.

Daughters of Destiny
A ministry for all ladies. This ministry is designed to strengthen women, help them find their purpose, and direct them to fulfill destiny (founded on Jeremiah 29:11). A conference is held once a year along with regular fellowships and meetings each month. Become a part today!

Mighty Men of The Word
A ministry that is designed specifically for men. Each man encouraging one another to succeed as a mighty solider for Jesus Christ, to be the priest of his home, to walk uprightly, find their position in the church, and rightly claim their inheritance.

God's Care Workers
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office (Romans 12:4-8). This ministry is a group of members that provide for the care, maintenance, repairs, and needs of the church facility.

Prison Ministry
A call to true evangelism. This ministry provides preaching and teaching to the captives. Each month the team visits the prison to not only share the Word, but to provide ministry books, tapes, and teaching tools.

Angel Ministry
Door to door evangelism to seek and to save those who are lost and to invite others to fellowship with the Family.

Media Ministry
Proclaims the Gospel through radio, television, compact disc, tapes, and Bread of Life Bookstore. An awesome opportunity to help share the written and spoken Word.

ONE is a Whole Number - Singles Ministry
We minister to all singles'...divorced, never married, widow, single parents. This ministry focus on teaching wholeness, satisfaction and completeness in oneself.

Hosanna Dancers
The purpose of Dance in the Body of Christ is to Make His Praise Glorious- Exodus 15:20; To Rejoice and Usher in God's Presence - Psalm 150:4; and To Express Joy and Victory! - II Samuel 6:14.

Covenant Ministry - Marriage
Celebrating marriage as God designed and intended it to be in a covenant relationship.

Transport Ministry
Anointed drivers who transport saints to and from church, conferences, and activities.
